Horizon partners with E.ON to offer funding for fleet EV charging
Strategic agreement will offer fleet customers electric vehicle infrastructure funding options
E.ON has signed a landmark agreement with leading low carbon asset finance specialist Horizon Energy Ventures to offer funding solutions as part of E.ON’s EV charging infrastructure services for fleet customers. The agreement will address one of the key concerns for transitioning fleet owners: meeting the cost challenge of investing in new charging infrastructure1.
A study of fleet operators, carried out by GreenFleet on behalf of Horizon Energy Ventures, found that 94% of survey respondents would consider leasing charging infrastructure, highlighting the ever-growing need for E.ON and HEV’s offering. The holistic, innovative and market leading solution will allow fleet customers to focus on their core business whilst expediting the decarbonisation of their fleets.
Horizon Energy Ventures’ tailored and flexible funding offers E.ON’s fleet customers a sustainable alternative to upfront capital expenditure, facilitating their efforts to decarbonise on the pathway to net zero. HEV’s range of financing options are designed to support the rapid roll out of fleet electrification by financing both the above ground charging infrastructure as well as any required energy system enhancements.
Dave Butters, General Manager at E.ON Drive, said:
“More and more of our business and fleet operators are installing significant volumes of charge points to help their businesses take action for climate and start on a path to net zero. This increased power capacity at site can lead to more complexity and cost so working with Horizon Energy Ventures as our asset finance partner we have greater support for our customers with funding options that look to cover the whole infrastructure programme.”
George May, Managing Director of Horizon Energy Ventures added:
“We’re delighted to be working with E.ON Drive, one of the UK’s leading providers of charging infrastructure services to UK business. As a leader in low carbon technology finance, we’re looking forward to making our innovative funding solutions available to E.ON Drive’s fleet customers, helping to accelerate their roll out of low carbon EV fleets.”
In collaboration with our partners, like E.ON, we can help navigate the complexities of selecting, financing and installing the most appropriate EV charging infrastructure.
